National Urban League president and CEO Marc Morial visited Milwaukee Saturday to meet with community and business leaders to talk about strategies to improve outcomes in our urban settings. The event was held at the Wisconsin Center District in downtown Milwaukee and drew more than 200 southeastern Wisconsin business and community leaders. It was hosted by the Milwaukee Urban League, United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, Greater Milwaukee Committee, Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Employ Milwaukee, Visit Milwaukee, YWCA, NAACP and Near West Side Partners.
Morial also participated in a Q&A conducted by Eve Hall, president and CEO of the Milwaukee Urban League. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was also part of the event.
Business executives in attendance included Grady Crosby of Johnson Controls, John Kissinger of Graef, Julia Taylor of the Greater Milwaukee Committee, Ellen Gilligan of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Keith Stanley of Near West Side Partners, Marty Brooks of the Wisconsin Center District and Paul Upchurch of Visit Milwaukee.
